Ryan Holiday dropped out of college at 19 to become an apprentice under prolific American author Robert Greene, and began to grow his knowledge of the intersection between power, psychology, and strategy.
Ryan worked as a Director of Marketing at American Apparel, before founding his own marketing agency Brass Check, which advised clients such as Google, TASER, Neil Straus, and Tim Ferris.
Ryan has published 12 best-selling books, which have collectively sold over three million copies.
Ryan has written extensively on the topic of media strategy in his books Trust Me I’m Lying, and Growth Hacker, as well as countless articles for Forbes, The Huffington Post and The New York Times.
In 2014, Ryan published The Obstacle Is the Way, his first exploration into stoic philosophy.
Since then, Ryan has published more books on stoicism, including the very popular Ego Is the Enemy, The Daily Stoic and Stillness Is the Key.
Ryan also hosts the podcast The Daily Stoic, as well as creating videos for his 2 million subscribers on YouTube.
When not changing the world through literature, Ryan enjoys tending to cattle, donkeys, and goats on his ranch in Texas.
