Athlete, musician and advocate, Isaac Humphries is a very busy guy. He is also the only (active) openly gay basketball player in the world.

Growing up, Isaac loved performing on stage, however his height and incredible athletic talent saw him off to the US at 16 years old to play basketball.

Isaac played basketball professionally in Serbia, before returning to America to play in the NBA G league season, and then Australia in 2020.

In 2022, Isaac came out to his Melbourne United teammates. Captured on video, Isaac’s fear and emotion is clear as he made his first public step to living his life authentically.

Since this moment, Isaac has become a global role model, especially for queer men, as one of three openly gay men across the sports of soccer, American football, ice-hockey, AFL, NRL, cricket, baseball, basketball, and tennis codes.
