Adam Briggs, a Yorta-Yorta man who grew up in Shepparton, released his debut album Homemade Bombs in 2009 and hustled hard to become a mainstay in the Australian music industry.

In 2014, Briggs released Sheplife, and in 2017 released the multi-award winning album Reclaim Australia under the name A.B. Original with fellow rapper Trials. This album not only receive critical and commercial acclaim but would come to be understood as a definitive moment in Australian music history.

Briggs has toured with Ice Cube, Ice T, 50 Cent, The Hilltop Hoods and Paul Kelly, and in 2015 began his own record label, Bad Apples Music, which mentors and supports emerging Indigenous artists.

Briggs’ talent is also not limited to music.

In 2016, Briggs was on the writing team as well as regular cast member on Black Comedy, and in 2017 wrote for the Netflix animated series Disenchantment.

Briggs has voiced characters on Big Mouth, as well as collecting acting credits in Cleverman, The Other Guy and Boy Swallows Universe.

In 2020, Briggs published his first children’s book, Our Home, Our Heartbeat.
