Born in Melbourne, Philippa Northeast’s love of the creative was nurtured through her schooling at Steiner.

Despite a starring role as Peter Pan in a school production, and acceptance into the VCE Drama State Showcase for her year 12 solo, Pip enrolled in a criminology degree at the University of Melbourne to follow her interest in why people do what they do.

A few weeks into her degree, Pip was cast as Evelyn McGuire on Home and Away, and would go on to appear in 341 episodes.

After leaving Home and Away in 2017, Pip starred in Standing Up for Sunny in 2019, and in 2022 the Hallmark TV film, A Royal Runaway Romance.

In 2023, Pip played Kay on The Newsreader, in what is considered to be her break-out role. In 2024, Pip was Susie Lawson on Netflix’s Territory, and in 2025, broke all of our hearts as Essie in The Family Next Door.

Most recently, Pip stars as Sybylla in My Brilliant Career, which launched on August 13 on Netflix.

And most significantly, Pip is the little sister of our Producer Bridge.
