Johann Hari is a New York Times Best-Selling author and journalist who has written on topics such as depression, addiction, and the effects of anti-obesity medication.
Johann was born in Scotland, before moving to London when he was a year old. Johann studied Social and Political Science, and has twice been named ‘National Newspaper Journalist of the Year’ by Amnesty International.
Johann’s books include Chasing the Scream, which delves into the global war on drugs; Lost Connections, a look at the causes of depression and anxiety; Stolen Focus, where he examines how social media is affecting our attention spans; and Magic Pill, which addresses the use of weight loss drugs, their risks and benefits.
